Yep, at the point the pic was taken the gray above the lens had already been sanded off. The housing is 2 pieces just like the taillights, but the clear part is painted gray from the factory.

Also changed the color from metallic aluminum to Ford smoke grey gloss.

Looks good. Ever use tank tone? I forget who makes it looks good tho

No never used it.

I just use rustoleum thinned out with acetone 50/50 mix shake well and spray.

This was actually ACE hardware brand "rustolem" Rust Tuff I think.

I said why not give it a try, It was a few buxx cheeper and at least they put a car company's name on it.
