Not likely. Plus I'm doing all the prep work short of stretching the actual vinyl. And there wouldn't be any worry of rust appearing with proper prep and regular washings.
Obviously it is your car and if you want to keep the vinyl that is your decision, I had a half vinyl on my Monte and I removed it and welded up the holes and I bought the rear filler panel and quarter windows off a hardtop.
If you decided to remove the vinyl a simple HF welder will get the job done and it doesn't take that much skill to weld up 1/8" holes and there are plenty of beginner welding videos out there.
I like my cars to be aggressive and sporty looking and IMO a vinyl takes away from that look (imagine my Monte with a vinyl now) so if that is not the vision you have for your car then carry on.

I just dig the Grandma look. Plus, it's how the car came. I'm not really one to deviate too much from stock, especially on a car as (relatively) clean as mine. My grand goal, is to basically have my car go from this:

But with T Type wheels and interior. And of course a Buick 350. Once TA releases their damn heads, an aluminum headed SBB will be lighter or as light as an all aluminum LS. 😀

I prefer the look of your car.

It won't run like an LS!!!

Yeah. It'll run better. And thanks. My car is pretty decent for what it is. It needs paint, bumper fillers, etc like most of our cars. Body is super solid though. No rust, not even under the top.

Well there you go, I am completely opposite since all I do is deviate from stock.

Yep. Different people, different mindsets. Plus, it's a lot cheaper to keep it stock. 😛
Plus, I like to drive my cars. I drive them damn near everywhere. Rain, shine, sleet, snow, salt, mud, gravel, etc. I don't want to worry about it being stolen, or having my $2,000 wheels get scuffed or my $5,000 custom paintjob getting chipped. Plus, I get a giggle everytime I get in my car and start it up in public and scare the crap out of passerby.

Well not work yet, but soon to be for me. I got this to replace the other one I was going to use since I like the look of no holes on the right side, had originally thought about putting a push start in the bottom hole but then didn't like having an unused hole on top of it. So went this route

Which means I will be selling this one if anyone is interested

And FYI, I have no idea why the site uploaded them this way. On my computer they are both show the way I took them in the correct facing position. Anyone attempt to paint the woodgrain? My plan is to paint that like a gunmetal grey but now noticed I have to paint the part around the gauges since that is brown and not the black that I thought it was.

Cleaned up the spacer brackets, shot em with some primer and paint just to keep em from rusting, and installed my GN rear sway bar. 😀

Today I finally got high and low speed wipers to work! Had to use two switches. Been wrestling with these wipers for awhile now feels good to get somewhere finally!
Just got to finish mounting my switches that I made a lil box for and wrapped in black vinyl to match my dash

Drove to a drug test for a job. Came home and found out the rear window trim (stupid plastic bit) for the landau top cars is nowhere to be found.
I guess it flew off on the highway. o-0 Broke around all the little rivets. If anyone has one, let me know.
