Removed the vinyl top today and discovered that my car was originally a hard top so I'm happy. Still has holes from the trim. So I'm wondering if someone wanted there hardtop a vinyl top from the dealership.. Its pretty weird

Finally took it upon myself to do the timing gear and chain, everything came out okay, was a bit of a shocker to see the old gears and chain.
New gear and chain is in place, nice and tight, timing cover has a new bottom seal in place, tomorrow everything including new waterpump and balancer back in place.

Nothin much. Been eyeballing some 86/87 turbo regal wheels. Put my Cherry Bomb M80 mufflers on about a week ago.
I think it sounds pretty neat:

The first rev peaked the mic, the 2nd one (starts at 1:13) is more true to the actual sound of the car. But this thing is violent. Way more than a Buick 350 with a 112lsa cam should be.

Went to a junkyard to find some interior parts but came up empty... BUT I did find a Chevrolet wind up under hood light that I’ll be using in my Monte..

I felt I had to do something to it today, so I lined the hood latch back up where it was supposed to be and replaced the fuel filter lol.

Still working on the passenger side floor. After I cut the seat mounts and center brace, there was some rust and some self inflicted damage from the spotweld cutter operator. Fabbed some small patches and used the Horror Freight panel flanger to make it a little easier than butt welding. It actually works pretty good. Seam sealer is cheap. Now I'm working on a rust spot on the dropoff from the rockers to the pan itself. This is getting butt welded, as this metal is considerably thicker than the floor itself.
