Upgraded to AGM Battery, and put in heat shield for better cold air intake on the K&N.

Went to my sister's to hunt for the engine lifting chains to no avail...not sure where they walked too! I might just go get an engine leveler thingamajig. While there I loaded up the car with all my interior parts now that I have room for them.
I had these sail panel inserts custom made years ago, and will address the colors when the time comes. I did a quick photoshop of my idea....

Cover them with thin velour the same color as your door panels will be. Assuming they'll be cloth. That way, you end up with an embossed Olds rocket that's kind of subtle. Or not. Just an idea.

Crossmember showed up Friday, spent Saturday dickin with my window so didnt get to putting it in. Next weekend I may if the weather allows. It was 55* today. Kinda freakin me out tbh.

Also, anyone know why there are two mounting slots for the trans? Is it so either mount (offset/normal) can be used?

Dont worry about the mounting slots. Worry about your body bushings.

Because if they are worn you are going to have some fun trying to get that Xmember in!

Looks like they make them now with 2 mounting holes so you have to buy "their" trans mount (energy suspension/OTR part number OER 31108G)

Well that's retarded.
It does say in the instructions to use the dual bolt style mount, too bad you either have to know someone who has the most recent version of the cross member, or buy the f*ckin thing before you know for sure. Well, I'm not going poly w/ rubber engine mounts, so I need a suitable rubber replacement.
Found 2 rubber 2 hole mounts:
2268 and 2378. Oreillys under the PowerTorque Brand, just put an A in front of the part number.

Looking at the application list on their site, they both look like they fit many of the same applications... the 2378 looks slightly taller than the 2268... I'll try that one.
So I guess now thanks to turna... I have a brand new single stud mount lying around. Oh well. Throw it in the parts pile I guess. 😛
Summit also has their own mount, SUM-7731165. I have a few other bits I was gonna get off summit, so I might just lump it in there with that. I'm in no real rush to get it.
