What did you do to your G-Body today? [2019]

I took my S-10 A/C line and the end out of the G-Body line and had a hybrid line made at the local parts store. I now have all the physical pieces installed to have air conditioning this summer. Making everything seal, however...
I've had mine working 2 or 3 times. Getting a compressor to last is a completely different story; the Bonne likes to eat them for some reeason. You have no idea how pissed I'll be if I replace everything (again), and it frags another compressor.

I have an S-10 Blazer that has been donating parts for this, and it wouldn't be a huge deal to replace everything except the evaporator to S-10 parts. Right now, I'll just be happy to make all the o-rings seal.

Woke it up.

And took it for a rip.

Damn near bigger than your air filter!
Do yourself (and your poor engine) a favour and get rid of that tiny thing!

Engines need to breathe, air in air out = efficiency = HP.

it is just sitting on the engine to keep the carb covered.

Ok good. I’m very relieved to hear that. I don’t know how many people I’ve seen try and actually use an air filter that size and then wonder why they’re not making any power.

Carry on sir, looking good.
