What Did You Do To Your G-Body Today? [2020]

Downloaded new firmware to the Holley sniper system. Looked at it, a lot. Thought about all the other things I want to do to it. That’s pretty much it.
 
Spent about 2 hours checking gap on the rings. Pre gapped, but its one of those things that would bug the hell out of me for not checking. top were all .016, 2nd were all .018. good enough for me.
also torqued the main caps down. Tomorrow rings will be on pistons and after double checking bearing clearance on the rods (already did the mains, .002 on the dot. digital calipers and plastigauge confirm it) and it will become a short block. Dumbass machine shop closed at 3pm on Friday so I have to wait until wednesday to pick up the heads. :-[ Once I get my cam, I can rob the timing cover off of my other motor as well as the intake, carb, water/fuel pump and dizzy, etc., and this engine will be complete.

got a chance to put the rims and tires on today. such a difference.. i'll have to clean up the roto and caliper and paint them when it gets warmer out but it will look fine for now...
