So.... 3rd gen camaros are kinda like dogs? Like to sniff the tailpipe on the other cars?

Heh, nah. We we're just trying to be polite and not block access to the adjacent property. That said, my oldest kept telling me to get closer to her Mama's Z28 - then I explained how her mother feels about being tailgated. Minutes later she gave me crap for being less than two car lengths away. Damn kids.

Innuendon't, kind Sir. ;)

How's Mama like her mullet machine?

Enjoys the looks/attention it generates, likes how nimble it is, and appreciates the visibility. Says it needs more power.

I think it needs:

Spent Sunday doing a test fit of the 18" Vette Ralley I recently purchased. Snugged the bare wheel on the front end of the 'Bu to get a feel for spacing & clearance within the new front wheel tubs.

This front wheel is an 18x8.5" w/5.130BS.

The car currently still has 2" drop spindles & factory arms but cleared the outer TRE by .0625 - .125".

It has about .250 - .375" clearance @ the OE position of the upper inner wheel tub mounting tabs/anchor points @ the outer edge of the fender w/no tweaking yet. The straight edge I used was about 3/16" thick & there was almost enough room to squeeze two of them stacked as is. It's possible I'll squeeze them closer toward the outer skin to create additional clearance but it's not a definite @ this point.

There was ~2.5" of overhang on the engine side of the taller tub so it should cover the width of the tire on compression w/o issue.

I set the battery in place to make sure there were no surprises there & all was good. The tub is contacting the new heat only case. I reference marked it & will clearance as needed. It won't take much (maybe a 2" c-notch so ~1" depth).

I'm ordering in some shims for under the core support to get a better alignment gap between the fender & leading edge of the doors. Gaps are decent near the bottom of the door but way big near the top. I'll try some shimming & then re-check all the same spots. If all is good, I'll start making the closeout portions of the tub so they can attach using the OE locations within the fender lip.

I made the loudest balloon squeak known to mankind. I tried to charge my AC ( it's only been 90 for a month), and found a nice leak on the high side, going into the condenser. Everytime I put 134 on and the compressor ran, it deafened me.
