What did you do to your non-G body project today? [2018]

did you make that fence or did it come with it?i only ask because it welded.
Yeah, I made it...and I'm actually not very proud of how it turned out. Looks okay from the angle of the photo but there are some welds on the other side that are just plain embarrassing. Close side hooks around the track and there's a jam bolt on the far side to lock it down. It seems really solid and slides nicely. I'll attach a piece of melamine to the blade side before I start using it.

When we moved in to the new place there wasn't really a pantry. The wife wanted to make a coat closet a pantry.
I was competely against it, so I converted a coat closet into a pantry...because husband level 100 lol!!!

Well I'm not sure what the quality of replacement wheel bearings, but I've put 45k or so on this Timken and it went out. Not BAD but it started to growl 1500 miles ago so I decided to get it done before it gets real cold. Odd that I've never touched the drivers side but this is the second one I've changed on the passenger side of my Rainier in the 60k miles I've owned it.

We will try an SKF this time. I would have expected more than 45k especially out of a premium timken.

Turned off the propane in the TBSS and raped the PE table for straight pump 94.

The EQ Error shows the propane kit is good for about 20% additional fuel. Injector Duty Cycle confirms this going from ~65% to 85%.

DD would not start yesterday. It would crank and crank and crank .... then stumble ...then crank and crank. Charged the battery and it would crank..stumble..crank..stumble. Battery tests out at 12.9v and 884 cca.

I tried this morning and no joy again.

So tonight after supper I had a freshly charged battery, plus power pack plus cables to the Monte ( he..he. he !! ). For good measure ( and I may have been a little PO'd ) I gave it a heavy dose of Quick Start before it all lit off in a great puff of smoke....

So with it running its charging at 14.5 - 14.6. Cant figure out if the battery is fookered or if the alt is overcharging and trying to kill the battery. Battery was replaced in 07 the alternator in 2013.

Beast is an 03 Safari with a bunch o miles and a 4.3. Ive had it for a dozen relatively trouble free miles and intend to keep it for a while yet !

2 things; Fuel pumps in those (and most GMs of that era) have a high failure rate. The spider style Vortec injectors are very pressure sensitive and a weak pump may be hard to get started without help (ether). Also, cap and rotor are prone to crossfire. Seems those funky Vortec distributors prefer AC Delco parts.

Those spider injectors suck. I've had to replace them on every GM truck I've owned.
