Got a good start on the chicken coop. Probably have another evening or two of work to do.

Dog inspected it, she had a few criticisms but it passed.

Bought a house with my fiance this spring and finally moved in since I started grad school for my masters. Moved stuff the 3 hr trip slowly. this summer.

Been fidling with yard work since the previous owner was in the 90's and the yard was a disaster. Pulled out about a dozen scrub trees and stumps, killed many of the weeds and put down about 8 lbs of grass seed, hauled about a dozen 35 gallon garbage bags of pine needles to the lawn dump and hauled in about 3 yards of dirt to back grade the house and fill in low spots.

Garage needs some work since there is literally 1 light bulb and no 220v power but it's on the list.

Dad got a housewarming gift for us, almost new early 80's deere snowblower with probably under 20 hours. It's a peach!!

Finally got my model building shop set up in the basement. Lucky me the previous owner was into wood working and used this room, there was one light but 2 outlets under the drop ceiling on switched power so I stuck 3 flourecent fixtures up (got 10 for $50!) And it's a lot better.

Haven't touched a fun car project in like a month :0

Been battling an issue with my wife's 09 Mariner this week. It stalled out on the highway the other day, I had her do a lil jiggle jiggle to thangs, it started and got her home. The next couple days it was sporadically stalling or stumbling and the CEL was on. I scanned it and came back purge valve for EVAP.
On her way home yesterday it died and she made it to a parking lot. I met her, changed the part, car ran fine. We split, 5 mins later it died again like WTF. So I traded cars, got it towed and hooked up HP Tuners so I could watch it live. Friggin weird. Engine cold it ran great, engine hot it had an intermittent stall issue. Weird though because it wasn't throwing a code.
Did my research, called my cousin who is a master mechanic in Chicago, both diag start leaning to throttle body issue. Most Escapes, Fusions, Mariners from 2005-ish to 2012 had a recall.
I PM'd Joe this morning and he concurred it sounded like a throttle body too. If 3 people and the google machine says it it's worth a shot. Whattya know, the our car missed the recall by mileage cap, but the dealer had the TB for cheaper than anyone else. Took a whole 10 mins to swap, and now it runs great!

The wife was already hinting at getting another car. The Mariner has 205K on it, runs great, cold AC, nice leather, and IT'S PAID OFF.....sorry dear no car swapping yet!!!!

As some of you may remember, I’ve slowly been having work done to my tattoo sleeve over the summer. Today was the last appointment, this officially concludes the planned work.

I had a half flame lick that I really wasn’t sure what to do with, so today I had him put a checkered flag in it. I’m glad I did, I like how it breaks up the rest of the colors a bit. I know it’s not exactly G body or even Oldsmobile related, but it’s definitely hot rod inspired and that’s exactly what I wanted.

For those that care to look closely, there’s all kinds of hidden details in it. Including a blower belt and pulley, camshaft, ring gear, braided hoses and even a Pro Mod injector hat. Can you spot them?

Anyways, here it is, all done.
For now....???
😉
