Living vicariously through my dad. After decades of talk, he's finally having a shop built! This thing measures 24x36, will have a 9' door on house side and 18' door on alley side and both are 8' tall. It'll have 10 foot ceilings, and a loft with stairs for storage.
I keep trying to get him to install a lift lol.View attachment 112224
Need 12' ceiling for full height 2 post lift. Could do a shorty or a 4 post though!

Been busy with the house. House wrap, roofing underlayment, windows, and doors are on/in. About halfway through the electrical and have the topside of the waste plumbing/vents in. Installed our giant bathtub and came to the conclusion that I'll have to run two water heaters. You can see some of the siding that got delivered this week sitting on what will someday be the yard. Lots of work left!

Still looks too cold up yonder fer me!

Today in a move of desperation I took my welder over to Atlas welding supply in Lakewood just to see if he could point me in the right direction. I explained the situation and he said he could diagnose it for $75.00 and they don't charge for loading and unloading. So I unbolted it and they plucked it off the truck and put it on a pallet he said if it's something cheap or stupid he'll just fix it and if it's something expensive he'll call my wife lol

Did the seasonal switch over around the house today. Then I blew the garage apart to make room for all the bikes, scooters, big wheels, sports equipment, and Power Wheels. My life is like a game of Tetris.

Went up to the junkyard today and grabbed a few Toyota parts. I got the pigtail to fix the auto-dimming mirror, got a relay for the A/C, some miscellaneous hardware and a strut tower brace from a Lexus ES. $15 out the door, not bad. No dice on the seat trim piece for my truck, though. I took the pigtail home and made my own little wiring harness and reinstalled the mirror, bolted up the strut brace, and tested and installed the relay so the A/C works.
