Got the Morgan Special all wrapped up- new chain, shifters, and derailleurs, and my old LX V-brakes and semi-new seat off my bike. Along with, of course, much bass boat flake/ glitter in the Candy Pink paint.

I already got that strut brace, so may as well go all the way . I kid, I kid. I decided to pull it all out after vainly attempting to clean the carpet with spot shot and a brush. The floor looks pretty damn good underneath for a car that has spent it's entire life in Pennsylvania. The carpet cleaner and brush was going nowhere, so I took the the driver's carpet over to the car wash and pressure washed it. It's not perfect but a lot cleaner than it was. You could see the brown water just pouring off of it. There was hardened crystallized salt (that has been there forever) near the dead pedal that came out. My dad and my sister are big coffee drinkers (blech, I'll take Diet Coke) and it got all of the coffee stains out. I'll take the passenger and rear carpets tomorrow and pressure wash those.

I also got new grommets for the floor mat hooks because the originals pulled out a long time ago. They are an easy cheap thing to fix while the carpet is out.

Tide and a scrub brush. The summer I was 17 I worked in a detail shop. That's all we used.

Just powder. Sprinkle a little on an area and scrub away. Spray it off with a garden hose. I like to use a couple sawhorses. Let it dry in the sun. It works okay on seat spots too but I've seen that a mixture of dawn, Oxyclean and rubbing alcohol is supposed to be the shizznit. Planning to try it on my wife's car in a couple weeks.

Sounds like I'm taking a trip to the store tomorrow. I'll give both methods a shot and see what works. The pressure washer with hot water seems to be the way to go for rinsing. I used this stuff today and it wasn't bad but there is still some minor discoloration in spots.

With the day job and the shop lot cement project intruding on all my extra time, I finally got caught up and made it shopside last night to get the oil changed, front end greased, and tires rotated on the Delta 88. Tonight I got the rest of the wax job done. Once the final plot of cement is cured (mid-next week) I can get it back out of the shop and switch places with the wife's Olds Vert and perform the same procedures on that.
