Uh...that's not a GTO.
The guy took down the listing and I left the wheels in my van so that I can get the bored out at the shop, hopefully I will have installed pics by weeks end.

got a 97 C3500HD.. freshen the 454 up, been working at updating the cooling system.... mainly the fan... and thermal fan clutch..
swap in a hayden clutch, does well, better than stock... AC at idle sucks... air flow is drastically reduced.. pre condenser fan would hold a 3*5 card at the edge of the radiator at idle

OEM fan is 20" 9 blade with 25* pitch and 1.75" thick blades.. assuming pitch is measured angle in a straight line from leading to trailing edge of the blade..
to a derale 20" 6 blade, 27* pitch and 2" thick blades.. pending mounting bolt circle... pretty sure 3.5" is a typo and is suppose top be 3.25"..
currently running solid hub 19" 6 blade flex a lite which move substantial more air than OEM setup... holds said card up easily, also pulls ~50* out of the condenser at idle in 80* ambient between inlet/outlet ports

im sure the 6 blade will talk more when engaged than the 9 blade will

Wonder how much power it takes to run that fan?

Not really a project per se, but I took the Subaru for a day trip to Fayetteville, West Virginia and checked out the New River Gorge Bridge. I contemplated taking the truck but the Subaru is just more comfortable on a long trip. It was a pretty cool thing to see. Its the third or fourth tallest bridge in the US and the third longest arch bridge in the world.

I'm going to take a couple more day trips to WV this summer, I want to see the Moundsville Penitentiary and the Trans Allegheny Lunatic Asylum. They aren't as long of a drive, so I'll definitely take the truck for one of those. I'll have to be careful going to that asylum, they might try to keep me!

this one is close to me. Perrine bridge. Travis Pastrana jumped from an RV while it was driving over it. It's legal to base jump from it too.

That's actually funny you mention jumping off it from an RV. My Dad grew up with a guy (went to engineering school with him too) who is big into skydiving. Back in the 80s, he dove off the New River Gorge Bridge. That wasn't enough of a thrill for him, so he had his buddy drive a van across and jumped off the roof of the van over the bridge. Now every year they have "Bridgefest" and he dives off it during the celebration. One time he snuck on to the roof of the US Steel Building in downtown Pittsburgh and dove off of it. He pretended to be a cameraman for the local news during the Pittsburgh Marathon, and packed his parachute in a camera bag. He spent a few days in the can for it.
