ANOTHER 100 foot Oak tree fell in my backyard. The ground is so saturated from all the rain and they just can't stand themselves up. Luckily this one landed in the yard and not on the house like the last one.

My brother and I replaced the front hubs, rotors and pads on his 2wd 02 Sierra. Those hubs seem to be good for 90k miles and then are shot. We went with SKF hubs and a Powerstop rotor and pad kit.

Had some more work done to my hot rod inspired tattoo sleeve today.

There’s obviously the piston, connecting rod and drive sprocket, but there’s also a camshaft, braided hose, and even sheet metal complete with screw heads. The detail he was able to put in such small areas is amazing.

It’s a different artist than the one that did the flames, and I love his style. I’m scheduled to go back in a month to have him finish up the rest of it, and I’ve got some pretty cool ideas for that session. I’m thinking zoomie pipes, supercharger with blower belt, and maybe an injector hat if he can find a way to fit it all in.
😈
Stay tuned...

Haven’t been up to too much lately, progress on Olds Cool has slowed to a virtually nonexistent crawl due to the warmer temperatures and life in general.

I’ve been working on a deal to acquire a center console that’s in better condition than mine, I did some modifications to a couple of motorcycles for my neighbor for $100 cash, which I’m then gonna parlay over into buying the console.

In the meantime however, I hit one of the bigger local shows around here yesterday in Three Hills Alberta.
Couldn’t have asked for more perfect weather, the car count was excellent even if most of them were mediocre at best. I did snap a couple of pictures of some of the G’s in attendance for y’all tho, any of them members here??

The 442 had a Ram Jet in it and the Monte SS had 17” N90’s on it, both of which I thought was pretty cool IMHO.

But the real stars of the show as far as I was concerned were this gorgeous and rare ‘55 Chevy Cameo fleetside...

...as well as this stunning ‘67 Chevy II. This car is right up my alley, the details in person were perfect. I would’ve given my left nut for this car.

Walking around the vendors after we had seen everything, I spotted this guy, and simply had to have it as an addition to the Rktpwrd Skunkworks man cave:

All in all, it was a great day and a nice excuse to get out of the city for a while. Maybe next year, Olds Cool will actually be painted and done enough to be presentable to take to the show.
Here’s hoping.

Not much progress on my end. I did however open the pool for the kids.

My friend Tommy stopped by and got the little John Deere going again because last weekend it melted down again. He works on small engines and equipment. He said I didn't do anything wrong when I rewired it last year it just happens to them all the time he also said it's do to a poor design they charge threw the ignition switch and nothing burns like a deer.

While he was here he also played with the unloader on my compressor it still doesn't work right but it's much better than it was it actually throttles down now and won't blow up. I used it to put 2 new tires on my little trailer and the one that was... I won't say good but holds air I put on a spar tire bracket just in case. I immediately put that trailer to work cleaning up crap from around the yard. Old pallets and wood that I used to stack firewood on stuff like that. I'll cut it all up and burn it at some point.
