Too bad there’s not a “What did your non G-Body do to you today” thread. Because my wife’s ‘13 Escape’s transmission just took a $#!+ on us. Only 48k miles, too. I’m not usually one to hop on the haters bandwagon, but believe me, plenty of Ford jokes were made today!
See, if it had a dipstick, you could have at least checked the fluid!!!

Same trans as the focus right? Powershit, err, shift they are called if I recall correctly. Quality piece of equipment.

No, I think this one actually has a torque converter. Regardless, nope, no external dipstick. It’s at the shop now. Best-case, about $500. Worst-case, $3,300.

I worked six hours Sunday and got my skid steer pretty much back together.

I still have to round up filters, oil, and a belt. Then I can fire it up. I took a picture of my service truck yesterday while freezing my *ss off yesterday. Here you go ItsnotaGN.

Yeah for just over $100 it seems like a pretty nice scope. It's not like I'm gonna put a $300 or $400 scope on a $200 rifle.

She wanted powdercoated mugs for wedding gifts so we made 3 this weekend.

Yeti mugs powdercoated with the eastwood gun system. Cured in a toaster oven sideways.

Are building it or customizing it? There is a lot of cool stuff out there for it! I am building one piece by piece from a bone stock model. I want to see the difference in the parts as I replace them. My goal is to shoot as good as a 17hmr for less.

The 10/22 is highly customizable, for sure. I'm not sure how far I'm gonna end up going with it. I actually haven't had it all that long, I got it last summer when they were on sale at a gun shop. Bone stock, out-of-the-box, I can get about 3 inch groups at 50 yards. I'm hoping with a scope I can get that to an inch or less. If not, I'll do the BX trigger next. I like the Green Mountain barrels but this gun is just for plinking, I don't want to dump a lot of money in it.
