Was supposed to be picking up a project in Colorado last weekend. Truck had other ideas. Got a couple hours from home and it threw a code and went into limp mode which is 2k RPM max and no boost. I pulled into a small town and fueled it up and it ran fine. 38 miles later it fell on its face again. Rolled around under the truck for a while and couldn't see anything wrong. Drove onwards and it continued to have trouble. Changed the fuel filter, that didn't help. Finally decided to really go at it.

spent 4 hours screwing with it. Got back on the freeway and it wasn't fixed.
Dropped the trailer at a family friends house and drove the truck home 280 miles. Couldn't reproduce the issue unloaded. I tried on a couple big hills close to home. Had a 30mph head wind and layed into the throttle which resulted in 98mph on the speed limiter, uphill. It even turned the check engine light off.
Two codes. One was low fuel rail pressure and the other was turbo vane sensor. Both can cause the limp mode. Parts are ordered and I have a line on a tech2 scanner to run some tests on it later this week. Crappy way to spend a birthday for sure.

Nice truck though

She's a beast. Will pull that 20x8.5 enclosed trailer at 75mph even in limp mode in semi flat terrain. Hills are another story

Working on the rebuild of my Grizzly 1022 tablesaw (with cast-iron top, wings and angle assembly). Tablesaw angle adjustment has always been difficult on my Grizzly tablesaw. But the other day the Grizzly 1022 completely froze up at about 30 degrees of angle adjustment. Just so happens I had a parts tablesaw (same model) that was incomplete. The parts saw was a floor room model for Grizzly when they were still located in Williamsport PA. Tablesaw is going back together with angle assembly (also known as the trunnion) from the parts saw. This morning, I set the 0 degree and 45 degree angle stops on the partially reassembled saw. Additionally, tuned in the factory angle gauge (using the very hard to get at allen key).

Next problem is: the tabletop insert no longer fits into the table and blade at the same time (its is off by about 180/1000 of an inch). So I need to turn the saw over, unloosen bolts fastening cast iron top to the chassis and then adjust.

Later today (or tomorrow), I will be adjusting the blade and miter track for parallel.

I know this sounds like overkill but if you want your saw to cut properly then all these adjustments have to be done. Most tablesaws never get these adjustments which means burned wood, inaccurate angle and taper cuts when you are trying to cut a straight line.

That is Brigham City, Utah. The town is smashed up against the mountain front and it is very beautiful. That whole valley is amazing. Not a fan of all the people but still love to see it.

Got the Murray back together, not without issues, of course. Aside from minor fitment problems, the magneto destructions said to ground the wire. I tested continuity to the battery negative, and figured, not without pause, that it was ground. So, I grounded it to the engine. Well, it showed ground on the yellow because that's the SHUT DOWN WIRE. If it's grounded, you get no spark. I got it, and it purrs like a kitten now.

My uncle used to wire all the kids power wheels series parallel on a 12v to 24v switch with deep cycle 12v lawnmower batteries. LOL I remember the girls doing donuts on the shop floor! Simply awesome!

"Restored" the headlights and cleaned it up a little. The Purple Power ate the graphics off the control decals, booooo.

Need to get some 1156 LEDs for the lights....
