speedo and trans stop shifting in my 97 f250. had to case down a wire that broke.... got the wire fixed and truck is fixed just in time its my plow truck ... we got snow today.

Got my *ss whooped by the snow. Tried to plow without chains, that was a disaster. Ran out and bought a set of chains then got the tractor hopelessly stuck in the yard trying to get it to the garage so I could chain up. Eventually I got it out and got it in the garage, got chains on it and was actually able to move instead of spinning tire.

Next you need to get the wheel weights, they make a difference.

I'm at work, can't wait to see how much I have at home tonight.

Be very careful about wheel weights. If it has the tuff torque or hydrogear transmission, they REALLY don't like the extra rotating mass on the axle shafts. You'll end up snapping an axle, then junking the tractor. It might be better to make a hitch of sorts and hang the weight off the back instead.

picked this chassis up from a friend that wanted it out of his shop. Used to have a Malibu body on it and was apparently certified to 8.5. He has a rear axle that is all setup for it but he actually wants money for it. I'm undecided on what to do with it. Maybe make it into a hardcore off-road rig with 1ton axles, a couple transfer cases and five foot tall King shocks?? I won't cut up my wagon to put this into but maybe the crew cab?

Re worked the track bar in my Grand Cherokee. Pushed the soft bushing out, hole sawed a hockey puck to roughly the right size. Chucked it up in the drill press and turned it down using a sawzall blade. Pressed the sleeve from the old bushing into the puck, then pressed the puck into the track bar. We shall see how it works out. I'm sick of the death wobbles this rig has.

also changed the oil and filter. Dropped the trans pan, swapped out the filter and refilled it.
