Finally evicted one of the dead tree carcass projects out of the garage.

The basement bedroom had a framed in closet but no doors, shelf or clothes rod. Bought doors and trim, spent a week sanding, staining, and applying poly.

But it looks good.

Beat the sh*t out of it. The Camaro that is. What an experience. My friend paid for a pro driver to help us all out this weekend. Only a few of us ran the practice day. The pro driver was there primarily to facilitate setup of my friend's car, but was also on the clock to wheel the rest of our cars. After a couple of sessions, I tossed him the keys. I'd run a best of a 1:44.6 and felt there was more in the car, but kept hitting traffic. He ran a best of 1:44.2. We also did a bunch of lead/follow and the only place he could catch me was with my small f-ups and he couldn't leave me. Otherwise, he said there was no way he could have passed me. I got praise for my driving and for my car from a professional racer today, I'm on cloud 9. To top that, he preferred my car set up by me a long time ago to my friend's professionally set up car. He also drove my car faster than his. What a f'in mind blower of a day. And my car was on flat spotted garbage tires compared to the other on freshies! I'm debating racing on that garbage tomorrow, having a better set on hand. But I also got gifted a set of tires today to beat my friend from someone else. Again, a real mind blower of a day. I'm going to have to put the new datalogger to hard use now having seen where the pro made his money. A lot of where he'd beat me on the entry I'd make back on the exit, but it looks like a hybrid of our 2 driving styles is the secret sauce.

We went to the local 1/8 mile track last night again. The wife and kids love drag racing which is cool. Saw this 4 door Caprice donk when we pulled in and it had a chug. Started talking to the guy, turned out he did a 6L/80E swap with an LSA blower on it. For a big car it was pretty quick. His best run was 8.18 and it was spinning quite a bit.
Dude was nervous, 1st time ever drag racing. There were some other cool rides there. Old Plymouth couple with a hemi among others.

Graded, moved, leveled, and filled the Mrs.' and kids' new cedar raised gardens today. Fortunately Natasha felt compelled to lend a hand. We had the first four of eight cubic metres of soil delivered today... so I get to do this handraulically again on Tuesday.

Unfortunately, my last tape measure didn't survive the mission. It was a good tape measure... and will be missed.

Got after a little, ok a LOT more progress on the veranda rehab. All new wood, trim and lattice, minus the Smart Board. It was still in good shape and got reused. Just have to repaint the white on it.

Pain in the *ss working around the plants and all the damn bark mulch, must’ve skinned my ankle on the landscape blocks a half dozen times. But well worth it to have the critterkeeperouter wire in place and dug in.

Ran outta steam after getting the first piece of new lattice on, but I’m calling it a win for today.
