What did you do to your non-G Body project today [2024 edition]

I dreamed about working on it after going for a spin in a huge wet private parking lot. Then I woke up and it was raining.

Paid a visit this pm to the local Home Depot because they carry 2x 12's and I have to build a pocket that will eventually be the new address for my used-to-be bedroom air conditioner. My shop walls are 2 x 6's so the 12 will give me 6 inches of sill beyond the wall siding for the unit to rest on. It came with a shell or sleeve for it to be inserted into so the pocket will need to be slightly larger internally to accept that shell. After that it is time to do some insulation re-stuffing and throw in a shot or two of the expanding foam stuff.

No. but what i thought was wet tire smoke was a damn pillow in my mouth , And the cute blonde and brunette riding with me turned out to be our miniature Dashunds that I fell asleep on the couch with .. Waking up really is a wakeup call sometimes.

No vapor barrier between the insulation and the wallboard? Inside of my garage/shop looked like a humongeous 10 mil clear polyplastic condom when i was done hanging the vapor barrrier. Still haven't finished hanging the wallboard on the ceiling yet. That is a job for two lifts of scaffolding plus barrier stanchions and safety chains. The panels would have to be cut down to 4' x 4' sections to make the install easier and the fiddling that would need to be done to get around the brackets for the main door tracking, well....................
