What did you do to your non g-body project today [2025 edition]

This is weaksauce with the mods rolling posts from the 24 thread into the new thread after the fact!

But as it pertains to this year, the plow truck got a new pitman arm, idler arm and mount, and LR parking brake cable. Saying it that way implies it didn't consume my afternoon and evening, which it did. And the wheel is now off 45 degrees, thanks to the Chineseum that came off the truck. But it does drive better, the rear brakes are adjusted properly, and the parking brake doesn't suck like it used to. Slowly but surely this thing is becoming a peach to drive.

Anything that was in the '24 thread is still in the '24 thread... again, continuity. The posts that were made there after the new year passed were copied, not moved.

But, at some point we've got to also lump things in 2025 into the 2025 thread so... where's the cutoff to be?

The one and only reason the prior year threads don't just get locked at the end of the year is sometimes comments on stuff from a prior year are best continued there - discussion about something old that happened isn't really 'new' or 'done today' so...

I chalk it up to nothings perfect and you can't please everyone all of the time.

Got the wife's LeSabre put back together and did a radiator flush to get all the DexCool and rust out of the system. It was rather nasty but will likely never be totally clean again for all the rusty crap that was in there.

On the upside, the braised fitting fit and sealed with no trace of leakage so far. I'm still waiting for an intake gasket to seal it up for good, but I at least got some green antifreeze in it before the big freeze comes.

my flux core has treated me very well. It's a harbor freight titanium 125 flux core welder. i think i'm using .030 wire, can't quite remember. Usually when i burn through i can turn the voltage down and wire speed up a toooouch and fill the holes.
I found instructions inside the lid. I was supposed to change the unit that looks like it has a couple of fuses on it from horizontal to lateral to use flux core. (Learning curve!)

It's all good, in the past we've had bigger grumblings over less so I figured err on the side of caution to explain the thought process. I'm not/wasnt offended, more just trying to make sure it wasn't a legit gripe - been a rough road lately here so a lot of stuff goes right over my head.

Now, if that all made my explanation seem... eh, chemo-brain is blocking me from thinking of the right word. Anyways, hope my response didn't seem anything other than friendly, and if not, apologies your way.

Plow stopped turning left. Had to adjust the cable. Fun fact: a qjet choke cover screw works for a set screw on a Western Unimoint Cable driven plow 😀

Refresh my memory on this one, is it a frame swap for rust? Or was there a wreck or something else driving it?
