What did you do to your shop today?

Managed to get the 9 x 8 door sorted out over the weekend. Ended up having to lower the tracks by 3" and replaced the top bracket with some "quick turn" hinges. Had to make sure it was adjusted just right so the door would clear the structure.

Ended up with this much clearance between the door and the structure. Before the modifications the door was actually coming up and hitting the front of that metal plate.

Only issue now is that my 8' door only opens to about 6.5'

Reason for that is that the quick turn hinges are fairly long and I run out of horizontal track

Got a couple idea to get the door to open a bit more. Right now I think my truck would fit, just not sure if the tractor would fit with the ROPS up. Tractor is maneuverable enough I could bring it through the 16' door and get it to the left side of the garage. But my Explorer won't fit and probably couldn't get over to the left without having to put it on dollies or something. I really only need about 7'. That's what I have over in the house garage and everything fits. I have a couple ideas to get a few more inches, such as adding a bit of extra horizontal track. It's not going to take a ton of weight in that part, but would still need to be adequately braced.

Also managed to get both openers installed and working. Just need to wire up some outlets for them.

Going more whole hog on the fabrication aspect, picked up another metal working tool today. 12” slip roll that’ll actually accommodate 12 3/4” wide material, 20 gauge capable.

This’ll be how I form the custom floor pan pieces for The Juggernaut project. Did a couple tests with some scrap, the tool is capable, now to see if the tool operating the tool can figure out how to use it to get repeatable results.

Finally organized my socket drawer. 🤔

Cleaned it. Uncovered the wagon. About to play musical cars.
