What do you guys think about this?

My advise would be to be patient. I found mine on kijiji and since I've gotten deep into it I realize I probably overpaid a bit. I keep my eye on kijiji a lot and have seen lots of G bodies come and go, some a better deal than mine and some worse. I once went to look at a mid 80's Regal that looked great but when I saw it in person there was a huge hole in the driver's side rear frame. What are your plans? Do you want a major project or something you just need to freshen up and drive right away?

Well i would like a project but nothing to insane. Like some Minor bodywork and engine work is fine but anything with welding i cannot do. I would really love to get another Monte Though

Oh my, I went to go see that when I was looking for my first monte ! The guy back then was asking close to 4000, but the car was rough. Dash wa cracked, he had like tires and fishing rods in the car, said he replace the front frame or something . Only thing that was good about it was it was a cl and it ran pretty smooth. I might message him and go take another look

Ok So i contacted him and asked what work was done. Said he did Body Mounts from firewall back, replaced frame rails, replaced upper control arm frame out driver side, and had a custome built 100 amp alternator

Said it needs front driver seat repair, inside for mounting, outside bracket going to floor? Also said the brakes are squishy until you pump them up. So im guessing there is just air in them. What do you guys think? Stay away or is it worth checking out? When i first looked at it last year i didnt know what i was looking for, but now that i have knowledge under me i feel more confortable

Theres not better feeling in the summer then crusing in a classic car... its up to you man if you can do it and you have the money I dont see why not. If you truely want something you will get it you know.

Even if you dont get a monte now I'm sure you will stumble on one someday doing something random

X2- I'm starting to miss that feeling right about now, seeing as its late January and there's 2 inches of snow on the ground outside...

it the car is on the road I have a couple of clients who own repair shops in Cambridge and you can get them to do a pre-safety inspection. That'll give you an idea on what it needs and what the frame and underside look like.

Im going to school for a Mechanic Apprenticeship so i have a decent amount of knowledge right now. I Know what goes bad on these cars and ill be sure to check it out. Im going to tommorow to take a quick look since its pretty close to my college 🙂
