Frame - open C channel.....
Puny 7.5 rearends - besides the rarer 8.5s the factory rear ends were pathetic
Horribly slow window motors - self explanatory
Window sealing - I have yet to see one with side windows that actually seal when closed
Plastic interior - looks and feels cheap, by now very brittle

Im sure there's more im forgetting but there is a good reason why my Gbody is getting further away from the factory designs every day.

speak the "good word" pontiacgp!!! and dont get me started on depeche mode, lol.nothing but love for these g's AND thee GREATEST decade to date!!! 80's RUUUULE!!!

The lousy seam sealer GM used on these cars.

About modern standards, you have to remember standards are always rising. One day factory LS cars will be considered slow and outdtated by modern standards too, heck the LS1 is already getting there. Everything becomes outdated and faster than ever too.

For window sealing, worn door hinges will make proper window adjustment impossible. Kirban sells a manual explaining how to adjust the window for Regals but it applies to the other 2 door G body models as well.

what i hate about g bodys is that when you get rust under a stupid piece of trim and you have to take the back windows out to get rid of it

Personally I don't hate anything about a G body. If there is something you don't like just be glad the car is still around so you can change it, upgrade it or do whatever your wallet allows you to do. And you should be real glad you don't own a Ford of Chrysler product of the 80's, that is if you can find any.

Yeah the only 80s ford stuff i see around is fox bodys and those are just, well you know

Everytime I need a replacement part it is usually discontinued just the year before I needed it. It is scary how few replacement parts they still make.

Very true i just went into an auto zone to buy a rear axle seal and with no doubt in my mind i thought i would walk out with one, turns out they don't even carry them anymore...most people carry generic GM stuff now nothing too specific. I know Jegs & Summit are my friends!

I can't think of a single thing I 'hate' about this car. I do hate some of the rude comments younger generation kids make about it, or when they come play basketball or throw their shirts all over it because 'its just old who cares'. I do hate that. I also hated it when I was watching some dumb b*tch talking on a phone spinning her tires in snow in a pontiac smack into it, back up and drive off like nothing happened. Who cares its 'just old' right? I guess the only thing I hate is the lack of respect other people have for it. Seems like small dents and dings appear on both of my cars from minor mishaps all the time even when they are just sitting. I also find handprints weathering on the paint or on the windows. I guess the only other thing I 'hate' is how easy it is to break in. I feel like I can't park anywhere when I visit Chicago. It really is about as easy to break in and wire up these cars as the scenes in the first Terminator movie. So in conclusion the only thing I'd say I hate about the car is it's impossible to keep it nice. For every person out there that respects these cars and this hobby theres some other deuschebag who doesn't like your car. I always park far from the door at the supermarket ever since a time a bunch of high school kids smashed shopping carts into the cutlass and took off while I was inside. Not everyone likes these cars / respects them just because we do remember that!
