What do you hate most about engine swaps?

Rusty my "helpers" decided to bend my transmission lines 90 degrees to avoid the core support when I pulled the engine/trans out. Guess who had to replace his transmission cooler lines?

Bar, my temporary exhaust is atrocious. I hope it holds until I can get tags and take it to the muffler shop.

Corroded and rounded off exhaust manifold studs! That's if I plan on re-using the manifolds anyway. Bad studs are a chain reaction of work waiting to happen, especially if they break.

I'd still take that over doing a plug and wire change of some of the fwd cars..

On this swap right now I hate waiting for me to finish the quadrajet build so I can hear it run for the first time. Everything else is done but I am working back and forth with Cliff Ruggles making sure this thing is perfect but I wanna hear it bust off one time.

But if you want to talk about working on FWD try replacing the alternator on an 05 Ford Focus. You can not see it even with a flash light until you unbolt the engine mounts and pull the whole engine over to the radiator and it is still a B.

I don't like ever having that feeling that there's just more to do. I finished my swap and I don't feel happy like I left something out or there was something else I could have done or cleaned up. Now I am going to tear back into it and redo most of it. Also I hate trying to add or eliminate factory stuff. Eliminating is tough cause it was supposed to be there and adding it back sucks cause half the time it's messed up

People who never think any further than the cheapest possible way to do something instead of the best possible way to do it within their budget and abilities.

Jshock, I'm with you on being frustrated about removing all the factory stuff.
