I've got a couple questions that I hope someone can respond.
I hav
e a 1987 EL Camino. I am about to do the Blazer dual piston front brake upgrade. I have all the parts and rebuilt the brakes. I have also acquired a set of 2012 Camaro 18" wheels. Of course the offset is wrong for my ElCamino. After some discussions and actual measuring , it appears that a 1/14" spacer can be used to put the wheels in the correct position in the wheel wells.
But when trying to buy spacers, the supplier came back that the EL Camino is 5x4-3/4" (metric measurement 5x120.65) bolt circle and the Camaro wheels are 5x120 and will NOT work with just spacers. Of course adapters are not available for this small change.
Also the El Camino wheels are hubcentric and spacers are not.... the Camaro wheels have a bevel and wont match up to spacers with a hubcentric provision.
Can I use 5X4-3/4" lugcentric spacers? Is it safe?
