WHAT'S IN YOUR TOOLBOX?

I have mostly Craftsman, Thorsen, Challenger, Proto, SK.

Tool box is craftsman middle and bottom, top is an old proto. I also have a duplex top that went through a fire and the paint is

And random stuff like ching-chong-china set like metric impact sockets just because its tough to find old stuff like that. Goofy pliers, stuff that doesnt matter really. Gearwrench for ratchet wrenches and an allen flex head ratchet for 3/8. Most of the stuff that you can't buy out of flea markets or retired guy's sales since they always break.

I am a firm believer in thorsen ratchets. They are the best, most durable smoothest ratchet i have used. They aren't as fine as a snapon 80 tooth but theses can be bought for like 5-20 bucks on ebay or flea markets. They are open mechanism so its not advisable to use them in a very sandy or dirty evironment but they switch direction super easy and just feel right.

I have that very same ratchet in my box.

it's ugly but it works!!

If you looked in my box at work or home the mix bag from scrap metal to snap-on and Matco would probably surprise you. When I was younger I wanted all high quality matching sets. Now I could care less if I have all the sizes it's a set! However as a body man doing heavy collision there's no replacement for Erwin vice grips when clamping this late model crap back together all the imotations are JUNK! My box at work is a second hand Maco nhra top and bottom it's a 96 still looks good and holds my tools at home I have a small Craftsman top and bottom my Father got me for my 18th birthday I just added 2 antique snap-on side boxes it's kinda falling apart but it dose the job. My newest tool box idea is a truck I'm building 1980 crew cab utility body 4x4 go anywhere fix anythingView attachment 64484
I like to call my new tool box on wheels my REO bravada W-30 if only I could find the right emblems

I have Snap-on in one tool box, Craftsman in another both sets were bought for me 25 plus years ago. They sit in there tool boxes nice and pretty an l barely use them, but l know that if l need a certain tool its there.
I have a toolbox l use daily with Mastercraft, Gray,Jet and odds an ends.
I have air tool sockets by Jet, they are heavily made with lifetime warranty, bought them from KMS tools.
Of course l got small toolbox in the house with sh*t tools an my wife's Vibrator, she'll never find it !!!

Wow, such hatred for a pawn shop. Man, I have bought $1,000's of tools from mine. It's an old mom & pop shop... they take stuff in from people that change careers or whatever, selling dad or grandpa's tools. I go by weekly.

I am not a tool snob, but prefer decent stuff...Mac, Matco, Snap-On, older Craftsman, S-K Wayne, Williams, Blue Point. Or any specialty stuff like Kent-Moore.

I was not the original owner of any of my G-body cars or my woman....

No, not a hatred for all pawn shops.

Just don't want to supports the criminals.

One day it might be my garage or car they break into because the pawn shops are buying.

The pawn shops by you may be legit but the ones we have here are not.

Went back to Walmart to look at the wall of Stanley Tools they had.

Picked up a 1/2" universal for $2.87.

Cheaper than Harbor Freight!!!!

Also picked up this 1/2" metric set for $14.27

Sizes 9mm-24mm with no 23mm

For the price I will keep it as a back up set.
