1979 Cutlass Salon fastback. 455, aluminum heads & manifold, TH400, 8.5, mild steel 6 point roll bar, fiberglass bumpers & hood, aluminum bumper beams, no heater or AC, jazz seats, no back seat or rug, door beams removed, no front sway bar, Spohn rear anti-roll bar, light weight rims, full 3" Pypes SS exhaust system; car weighs 3200# without driver.

I lost about 70 lbs just by switching to a fiberglass front bumper. The brace behind the bumper was almost as heavy as the bumper itself!

81 Cutlass Wagon. Full interior, 6 point cage , sbc alluminum headed, fiberglass hood and roll pan. 3645lb with me in it.

Im shooting to get my 79 Monte down to the 3000 lb range with out my fat *ss in it. I have yet to weigh it.

Once I take out the crash bars, the bumper reinforcement and change the hood I think Ill be around there.

Hoping to lose 50lbs myself before the season starts...

wow you guys have some way lower #'s than i do, my 86 cutty supreme brougham with me in it and a 1/2 tank of gas is 3,986 lbs

My 88 Cutty with 509 Caddy motor, me at 215, half a tank, and a full size spare was 3,840. Maybe the scale you are useing is off a little for the benefit of the scale house.

3400-3500 stock seems normal - lots of options, junk in the trunk, full tank of gas and we're at 3600, 3700 - then add driver

My car is pretty stripped down and will continue to slim down.

3000 isnt hard to reach if you pull alot of the "creature comforts" out of the car but it also depends on what your purpose of the car is.

82 cutlass. Aluminum headed BBC,Moly rad support, full roll cage,S&W back half, fiberglass hood and deck lid
3250 with me in it.
