Wheel Fitment Guide

The 2025 Calendars are HERE. Two different editions, two different sizes, and a digital package!! Starting at $12.97US
I kinda wanted to keep the same size all around for tire rotations. What about a 215/60/15? How much of a difference would that be when compared to the 225/50/15?

I GOT 16 INCH RIMS, WITH 245 50 16 TIRES ON BACK NO RUB ISSUES, VERY TIGHT, BUT NO RUB, ON FRONT I GOT 16 INCH ALSO, 225 50 16 TIRES, HAD TO RUN A SPACER BEHIND THE RIM, 1/2 INCH I THINK IT WAS, AN I HAD TO WELD A BOLT ON THE WHEEL STOPS AS IT WAS RUBBING ON TURNS, BUT IT RUNS FINE, AN THE TURN RADIUS DIDNT GO DOWN ALOT,

Question.

I am also considering the REV classic 100 in chrome. Not sure what backspacing they have as of now. Anyone have any info on these wheels? Would I be better off going with the Cragar Eliminators on my '85 Grand Prix?

Here's the REV classic 100:

THIS IS A CLASSIC WHEEL WITH TODAYS TECHNOLGY
15x6,15x7,15x8,15x9 - $169
16X7, 16X8 - $179
17X7,8,9 - $189
18X8,18X9 - $199
20x8, 20x9.5 - $249
OFFSETS: OMM &
+12MM on select wheels
B/P: 5X41/2,5X43/4 & 5X5

Currently my car is dropped 3 inches out back and 4 inches up front.

I run Trans Am GTA wheels, 16x8 with 255-50-16 and 225-50-16. Because of the funky offsets on the T/A I have the front wheels on the back of my car and the back wheels up front. This staggered offset actually looks more correct than the "right" way. On the front I installed extended studs and added 3/4" spacers along with the wheel's original 5.25" BS. The rears had 4.5" BS and were a bolt on.

I experience slight rubbing on the wheel wells under hard bumps but that's no surprise. I also get some slight rubbing on the frame on one side at full lock, particularly when backing up. Other than that no issues. Fenders have not been modified at all.

If finances play out in my favor I plan on running a 17x9.5" wheel up front with 255-40-17s and 17x11 on the back with 315-35-17s. I will be making custom wheel wells and will raise up the front suspension 1", and will be notching the rear frame and running a different width 9" Ford rear to make this all work though.

I have the ZQ8 wheels on mine they are 4.25 backspacing. I have 245/50 all the way around. Back has maybe an inch and a half, fronts slightly rubbed. Plan on getting another set with 225/50 fronts and 255/50 nitto 555r drag radials for the rear.

I have almost exactly the same setup. Although, I think your T/A have 5.25 and 4.75 backspacing, like my IROCS.
... in either case, istead of a spacer upfront, I am using a 1" adaptor. And out back, I am using a 3/8" spacer with extended studs. I think because of the frame repare on the back of my car, I've actually lost some backspacing, and that's why I need the 3/8" with extended studs.

Ok, took the rear wheels off and went in and did some measuring on my GP.

Here is what I came up with:

My car has:

5" front spacing
5 1/2" backspacing

So, I was wondering if I could run 275/40/17 tires without any rubbing issues on the inside or outside. The tire is 11" wide and 25.7" tall.

Or would I be better suited to go with the 235front/255rear setup for clearance?

Anyone know if a 17x9 wheel with 5" backspacing will fit on a lowered car? I found a set of wheels I'd really like to get and that's the only size they make :?

get yourself a chevell rear from a 68-72 and those wheels should fit nicely with that backspacing. If you run camaro spindles that will kick the wheels out as bit and with the stops on the Z box I don't think you'll be hitting the sway bar...I'm running a 4.5" backspacing

I actually have drop spindles that I'll be using. I don't mind running spacers if I have to, just as long as I'm not rubbing the fender lips. I see Year One is going to be releasing cast 17x9 Pontiac Rallye II's in January, not the overpriced billets that have been around for awhile. These are along the lines of exactly what I want. Something modern with the stock appearance.

I also like the the honeycombs & snowflakes but I could imagine them being a pain to clean.
