As Amazon and Walmart post record earnings. NIMBY. Everybody wants to be green until they figure out iPads and polyester skinny jeans can't be made out of fairy dust and cruelty-free soy husks.
There’s a bank of charging stations near my local supermarket. Every time I go by, it’s empty. It also blows my mind that the lot floods during heavy rains.
I guess where I live, people just charge their cars at their homes.

Is there an attendant at the chargers to insert the plug? The newer new jersey ev drivers just might not understand if they can legally plug in by themselves....

In the county I live in doesn't have a single public charging station. In the county I work in there is only a public charging station on US 22 at a Sheetz. Only other charging stations that I am aware of in both counties are at the dealerships selling EV's unless something has changed.
I know of a couple of stores that have chargers in a city of 20,000. I think, I have seen one car charge there before. It is the only Tesla I have seen.
Public chargers mainly exist so that you can use them on long drives and road trips, maybe you wanna stop for 15mins and use the bathroom and get a drink, or maybe you want to stop for an hour or two to sit down and eat and shop or something
Most people charge their cars at home, so there's really no need to use public chargers unless you're going for a long ride. I personally don't take 300+ mile road trips more than a few times per year. Mainly holidays, seeing friends and family, vacation, whatever
This link is a map of Tesla Superchargers (the one's that charge up to 250kW). They're mainly located in cities and along major travel routes for those who travel on state and interstate highways
