Rear= 17x9, 5.0" backspacing, 0.0" offset. Front=17x8, 4.5" backspacing, 0.0" offset

Thank you very much. I'm looking at a set of rims from Year one, the rears are 17" by 9", with 5" backspace, +3mm offset, and looking at a 255/50 rear tire.

1979 Malibu.

Currently using 225/55(front) and 275/55(rear) on 17x8 torque thrust rims, both front and back, not sure of the backspacing of all.

But as you can see by my example, the front looks good to me, the rears looks tight, not too crazy about it to be honest, the previous owner did roll the upper lip on both sides, not untill the drivers side took a hit, he had some backseat passenger weight on that side one day, but still in good condition.
