so im gonna set some stuff straight not that it really matters though. First of all from the beginning, during the american revolution we would not have won the war for many reasons lack of funding, lack of ships, lack of men, you name it. It was the French who finally block aided the British from leaving the ports of New York Viringina and other colonies im too damn lazy to comment on. I dont feel like giving history lessons, Ive studied 4 years now and have 4 left to go. ANyway you all might have heard of Cornwallis, he was a military general who was 5th or 6th in line after the defeat and resignation of other british generals well he made the comeback and was about to push the americans in to hell until the french arrived of coarse. Next War, im skipping war of 1812 because the French presence was almost nottta I dont know where people get their info from because I can tell ya the presence of France in that war was very limited, Napoleon was more tied up rescueing Poland which I am studying at the moment from Russian forces then anything else. The only French over here that were doing anything were the surving fur traders and the small areas of New Foundland and Quebec which are still French today. Next war, WWI, sorry folks but the Americans only fought for 1 year. We were very timid to even join the war in the first place. Our presence was not nearly as big as we Americans like to make it look either. The war was already winding down. Brit and French forces along with Italy were all beating the hell out of Germany. They were already destined to lose. Many people dont even realize one of the primary reasons WWI started was because of the Franco Prussian war probably the the greatest defeat France ever had in 1876-1878. Paris was completely leveled. Us American and Woodrow at the time of 1917 only joined mainly for military, economic, and social reasons. Get out a book if you dont believe me. We were trying to show the world that we were present. Before the first world war we were nothing. Next war WWII, this one is even better, yes France was stupid in this war they hardly put up a fight at all and when they turned their back on the Poles who came to them after they were first defeated that was BS> then to get even worse they made agreements with Germany and made nazi france regime for the remainder of the war. Now to set the record on the French Revolution for the goofs who said other garbage that ill clear up. That war was a true civil war fought over who should rule. Robespierre and the mountain were brilliant men who had far left ideas who over thru Louis XVI. Poing being what? They killed others to stop anyone from creating a counter revolution and they got paranoid. They faced revolutions from the Garondist who were moderates at the time in France. Compared to other slayings it was nothing, estimates range between 1,000-10,000 died over a coarse of 2 years. Ok ill shut the hell up now im sure some people are gonna be pissed im tired and going to bed peace

I,for one,would like to p*ss on de Gaulles grave (Diefenbaker too,but that's another story).
When de Gaulle was in Canada in 1967,the man should have kept his idiot mouth shut.His "Vive le Québec libre" speech caused outrage in most of Canada and it led to a serious diplomatic rift between the two countries. However, the event was seen as a watershed moment by the Quebec sovereignty movement.

What *might* happen is that the collision of these heavy particles will result in a large amount of mass inside a tiny area, that just happens to fit the *mathematical definition* of a black hole. But it will disappear just as quickly as its created and be gone....

for a guy studying history you forgot "remember the lusitania" and you forgot that wilson was an isolationist who tried to keep us out of the war, but when germany started encouraging mexico to invade us...
and you forgot about the german spring offensive where they broke the allied lines and were shelling paris. luckily we had gotten many more troops there than anyone thought possible and they were used to reinforce the british and french lines. the british and french used this influx to launch a counter offensive which pretty much went to the german border.
as to the revolutionary war, nobody here is saying that the french didn't help. just that the debt was paid long ago. in reality the french owe us, but you know they won't bother paying that back!

I dont have time to talk about every thing a country has done. France for one is over 1,200 years old. Our history as a country only goes back some 240 years. We have a long way to go to even compare what other countries have done. We have just begun to initialize inflation at a great rate something that never happened in the 17th 18th or 19th century. France doesnt owe us nothing. We wont rev. war because of them, they and britian won WWI US got in strictly because they wanted to assert themselves. The Lousitania which im not too huge on at the moment was only a small part of the reason in why we joined or so I have been taught. WWII France totally ****ed up I agree ahah. Vietnam they didnt **** up in they got overwelmed in. Ho Chi Minh took power while the French leader who I cant recolect at the moment left and I also at this time cant remember why. I am taking Vietnam War history next year. the Us did no better so I dont know why someone sights how they messed up. The war on terror is a joke these days we are only making fools of ourselves. Thats why every country but Great Britian, Poland, and a few others hates us.

If you are trying to look smart on this subject, you may wish to proofread your posts first. Your spelling, capitalization and punctuation leave much to be desired. Your dislike of the US and desire to be a European is obvious by the tenor of your posts. We are not Europeans though. What they think about us is not very relevant anymore as they do not represent much more than the ultimate failure of socialist ideologies. They are losing industry for the same reasons we are: It costs too much to do business in nations which believe in massive redistributions of wealth and excessive worker's rights at the expense of capitalists who take a monetary risk and provide people with employment. not looking to get my puncuation correct on this forum dude, im just tryin to get my point across. I leave the grammar for college coarses where it matters. I believe and know correctly that Europe is on a far better path then we are. We have higher unemployment rates, higher debt dont even speak of the what 4.3 trillion we owe and I just know someone is going to bring up the fact we help other countries which is retarded to begin with.
