I got power on fusible links. I took car to shop to have both changes and they are both good. Shop thinks I have bad fuse box or a burnt wire behind fuse box
Fusible links are good. I took fuse box apart and found nothing. Any other ideas I should try?If you have no power on the red wire then it the fusible link near the starter that is most like the problem. With a circuit tester check for current on both sides of the fusible links. If a fusible link is burnt then you can make your own. Cut the fusible link out and use a wire that is 4 gauges smaller. Use a shrink tube to protect it and then cover it with something to insulate it. DO NOT use a fuse to replace the fusible link.
No, I had battery disconnected because I removed both sides of fuse box.did you test the terminals that should be hot on the sockets that attach to the back of the fuse box to see if there is power at those terminals?
