id use the stock size pushrods but i got 1.6:1 roller tip rockers so now i gotta measure what it is now. well 2 nights ago my serpinteen belt on my satty decided to crap out on me so thats one more thing on the list of sh*t i need to get done. :blam:

i went on here http://www.wallaceracing.com/hp-bore-stroke.php to see what they say about how much hp i make. this is what they said:
Using your vehicle Bore of 3.875 inches and Stroke of 3.25 inches :
Your HP for street is 323.51.
Your HP for racing is 539.19.
HAHA! thats funny
heres what i got from wiki:
A 307 cu in (5 L) version was produced from 1968 through 1973. Engine bore was 3.875 inches (98.4 mm) with a 3.25-inch (82.6 mm) stroke.

The 307 replaced the 283 (but are the same engine block with a longer stroke) in Chevrolet cars in 1968 and produced 200 hp (149 kW) SAE gross at 4600 rpm and 300 lb·ft (407 N·m) of torque at 2400 rpm in the 1960s. The later emissions-modified versions produced just 115 hp (86 kW) SAE net, giving the engine one of the lowest power-per-displacement ratings of all time. Chevrolet never produced a high-performance version of this engine, though they did produce, for Outboard Marine Corporation, a high-performance marinized 307, rated at 235 hp (175 kW) and 245 hp (183 kW) SAE gross, depending on year, that shipped with the Corvette/Z-28's cast aluminum valve covers and Rochester QuadraJet carb. Chevy also built other versions of the OMC 307 rated at 210 hp (157 kW), 215 hp (160 kW) and 225 hp (168 kW) SAE gross.

well its starting to get warm out and im getting antsy to get working on my elky again. i went by my moms house to fiddle around with it. i ended up just clearing off the leaves from in front of the windsheild and looking over the engine. imma have to take the headers and heads back off and then grind open the pushrod holes in the head to clearence them for the new push rods(i still have to measure). my buddy says after i get it running he'll help me with replacing the bushings in his garage. man! i CANT WAIT till my days off. im praying the weather will be nice to me.

well i just ordered pushrods for the elky. they should ship monday. YAY PROGRESS! the messed up part is that theres 2 inches of snow on the ground here in chicagoland and its the first day of spring. :wtf: global warming my *ss...

well i got my pushrods yesterday and tommarrow im skipping pool to work on my elky. ill take some pics and see if i can make a walk-through on how to install push rods and rockers. now i gotta get some batteries for my camera for some more pics. YAY!
