the battery is long dead and i just found out im broke, so hopefully i get birthday money sooner than later.

ok, heres what i still need to get the car running.
1)rebuild carb
2)replace vaccume hoses from carb to everything
3)get the hole for the o2 senser welded shut
4)figure out what the large gauge wire comming from the passenger side of my trans is.
5)fix the brake lights
6)get the rest of the exhaust connected
7)get a new driven gear for the speedo cable that matches up with the 4.11 gear and 28" tires
8 )new battery
9)install bare foot gas pedal
i have a few questions about the trans. what is the large gauge wire that comes off the passenger side of my th350 and goes up tward the carb? its black in color(but so is every other wire under my hood ).
the other question is where can i get new vaccume lines from the carb to everything else? and what nipples go to what? i know the trans line is in the front of the carb, but thats it.
oh its a 4160 holley 650 cfm

That should be a threaded hole for the o2. I'm not 100% sure on the size but I think its a 1/2" npt. You could just buy a plug.

well actually the plug is big, heres a pic

i tryed to soak it in pb blaster and beating it and using a pipe wrench on it but to no avail. so imma get it welded shut.

There's nothing electrical on a T-350 unless it's a lockup converter type but then the wires are on the driver's side. Maybe it is a ground wire from trans to engine?

is it a bad thing if i can see my flywheel and torque converter under my car? imma get some pics tommarrow of the stuff on my car im confused about and i think is too ghetto rigged. and wheres a good place to get replacement vaccume lines? most, if not all my old one are dry rotted or broken. thanx.

:bump:

The only thing going from the carb to the passenger side of a TH350 is the kick-down cable.

Buy a bulk length of vacuum line and start replacing all the hoses one by one, and be sure to check that the plastic T's aren't cracked or broken.

well heres the pic of the mystery black wire from the trans:
