Looks sweet....i was going to go with a fiberglass hood cowl too...but did alot of research and found out that the paint on those hood crack easily .....friends of mine made me get rid of it....and if i wanted a hood cowl to get it all metal....but dayummmmm those metal hoods are expensive...so i went with the OG hood...but hey u never know....keep up the good work brah..

well the shop has the trans in and the car runs, theres still a few things that need to be straightened out. they say that the trans feels like its skipping 2nd. i think its because the converter lockup stuff isnt hooked up yet. other than that, just gotta wait till friday to pay them for there werk and then get the plates for it. ...getting closer! 8) so what else is going on is i bought the 200-4r trans x member and the guy at the shop says it didnt fit, so they modded the th350 one and now i have the brand new 200-4r double hump one. any takers on my x member? its the same one you can buy @ gbodyparts.com

I found out last night that the rear brake line needs replacing, so that means i need to replace prolly all of the rear brake lines and the cylinders. the mech says that he adjusted the detent cable and the car shifts way better (YAY!) but the line going to the rear breaks blew out so he bent it over onto itself so it wouldnt leak all over. so its like having a line lock but with no rear brakes . well there done with working on my car as in they never want to see it again. its been sitting in there lot forever and they need to repave. so NOW i gotta find a place to put my car where no one will tow it. ...fun... :|

today i drove my elky. it was AWESOME! it shifted and down shifted fine. no lock up yet but still, the trans werks great! i didnt try manual shifting or anything, being i only had front brakes, and very little at that. so no burn outs and no high speed runs, but that was the most fun ive had with my car inna long time! i cant wait to start getting it "legal". just one more pay check...

I second that congratulations...nice going.

X4! Total badass job beer! So what do you have left to do to make it street legal?

well now that youve asked, i think i need to update the list i made on page 1.
whats needed to make it street legal:
1. fix brake lines and rear brake cylinders
2. fix my brake light problem
3. get it regestered...again
4. new windsheild
what i wanna do to it:
1. do a burnout till i hit drums
2. rims
3. fix my cowl hood
4. shifter
5. body work
6. paint

well thats what i could think of, but mostly i just wanna drive the damn thing, its been so long where ive just got in my car and drove it just to drive it. like that song...
