Sounds like your almost done! I bet you were happy as hell to finally be able to drive it though. Dont worry, it'll be done before you know it then you can do all the burnouts you want :twisted:
 
saturday i decided to swap out the old power steering box for the manual one i got from pat. well i got the thing off the frame, i just cant seem to seperate the steering arm from the rack. i took the castle nut off and tried to use a pickle fork to take it off to no avail... so now thats a problem i need help with. any sugestions?

Go to auto zone and rent or buy a pitman arm puller. You might even have to put some heat to it to get it off.

i got ot but i think im using it wrong, am i supposed to put it on the bottom where the greasable fitting or on the stud itself?
 
on the stud and leave the nut on with a few threads on the nut exposed so the tool won't slip off the stud
 
ok sounds good, now i know what to do for monday 🙂

I see no mention of beer consumption anywhere in this list. wtf? :lol:

your not the only one who'd like to have a beer with him, the dedication and persistence to do what he's done on his car and the balls to rebuild a transmission on his own has my respect and admiration...
