well this weekend i went to the junk yard 2 times because it was "nice out" and scored some rad. cross support bars, firewall to fender braces, a few wireing harnises for the wiper motor, a gbody rearview mirror and full guage cluster w/ tach. id like to swap out the cluster , but what do i need to get the tack and what not to werk? i do know ill have to get a sensor for the oil pressure, but what about everything else? oh and if yer car didn't come with the firewall to fender braces you have to find some "dimples" in the front gutter thing and thats where you have to drill some holes to bolt them in.found that out the hard way...
You made some nice finds...for the tach I'm pretty sure the white wire is there on all models so you just need to find the junction and install the brown wire with a filter to to the distributor...it was nice here yesterday too, they had a golf course opened in Toronto and I saw a few guys out with their motorcycles
ok well i took my cluster out and swapped the printed circuit and the tach out of the monte cluster, but since i already have aftermarket temp/oil/volt guages, i didnt swap them. the process of swaping the stuff out wasnt hard, just takes some time and some common sense. i also didnt swap the speedo because it had 79k miles on it ans mine only has 9k. yay upgrade!
did you find the white wire for the tack? I think kuruption was selling the brown wire with the filter just a few days ago

now this filter your talking about, is it the same as the one used for the heater fan motor, because they look an awful lot alike?pontiacgp said:
