im thinking i can gut one to see how it works and then adapt an cam lock like this to it:

after figuring out how to fab a bracket i wanna have it to where i can put it on the fender to access it. and having a cover for it would be kewl too, so heres the bracket and the adapter id like to use to secure it so some one cant just rip it out with a pair of pliers.

the key thing was a popular thing in the 70s alot of a body cars have it they were mounted on the driver fender

i thought them were for the car alarms, i remember in the 80's my moms bf had one on his car. in the middle of the night that train would go by and the alarm would go off and hed run across the street into the gravel lot in his underwear to turn it off. do ya know what they were called or if the company still exists?

this morning i decided to get my heater werkin. so that piece that was broken that i kept asking about, i tried to fixit to no avail, so what i did instead i just didnt use that part and the heat werks fine. it wont turn all the way off, but thats what it did before and thats why i always disconnect the battery. i got to drive the elky around for about an hour and man its fast! some guy inna accord with a fart can pulls up next to me at a light and kinda revs his engine so i slowly look over giving him that, "why are you wasting my time" look... then the light turned green and i spanked him to 40 mph and let off. he kept going but im smarter than that, where i was is full of sherifs police all the time. but man that run to 40 was fun!

ok heres the pic of the intake i got:

i wanna put this on my elky but im wondering if its gonna help or hinder my 307
heres my setup now
307 sbc, stock bottom end and cam, 1.6 roller tip rockers, hei dizzy, hedman shortie headers w/ 3" collector, performer intake, holley 600cfm carb, 2500-2800 stall converter, 200 4r trans, 4.11 rear and 28 inch tall tires. any help would be great because i dont wanna rev it past 6000-6500. will this affect my low end? i just wanna be sure before i commit and swap it out. any help would be awesome.

went out to start the elky and SOMEONE forgot to disconnect the battery...time for a new one or maybe a battery tender job...poop

if ya look at the bottom of the blower motor you can see the rusty bolt there connected to a cylinder looking thing that has a wire coming out of the left of it and its looks like its missing a wire on the right side. what is that thing? where can i get a replacement? can i just say, f-it and splice a wire in its place? please, HALP!

It's a noise suppressor to stop static in AM radios You don't need it for the blower to work. The relay runs high speed and the resistor works the lower speeds.
