And I love the wagon rear defrost, mine has a few bad lines.

Sorry for straying off topic.

Jim,

The installed rear window has the defrost lines that look complete to me. The chrome surround needs a little repair. The replacement I picked up has a better frame, although I have not inspected the defrost grid closely. Since you probably don't need this tomorrow, the window on the car could be yours, if you can hang in there. If your work takes you out this way, let me know.

While we're on the topic of rear defrost hatch windows, where is the defrost button situated on the dash, and what does it look like? I suppose it depends on what type of car and dash you're working with....and it would have to be wired accordingly...much like the rear hatch release button.

In the blank area, lower right on the cluster. Remote right mirror joystick will be next to it.

Thanks Quinn,
That would make perfect sense. I'm sure it's probably in a similar location on a Pontiac dash.

Thanks Ed, for your input and pic showing the defrost switch on your dash. Where did you get your steering wheel?
I had the Buick version of that wheel that went onto a Buick Sportwagon...not mine, unfortunately.

No problem. horn button and hub are repro pieces. Steering wheel is an original 60's vintage piece from a corvette. it was an extra that my dad picked up while he was building his 67 Camaro. he found one nicer so he kept that one. this one is in pretty nice shape and is perfect since I drive the car quite a bit. this is how the interior looks now. cleaned up and some slight tweeks
Only thing left to do is replace the radio cage so I can mount the trim ring for the radio. I have both. just need to be motivated.
