So, things have gotten complicated because.... of course they would!
Today was a cluster____ in more ways than one. In addition to having a bad encounter with the copperhead, which, thankfully didn't get either of us and we had to take out... well, timelines got blown.
Our travertine tile has been sitting in the distribution warehouse since May 21st. They haven't been able (or willing??) to move it 6 miles to the store where we can pick it up. We also are not allowed to go to the warehouse ourselves. It was supposed to be available 'in a couple days' as the system showed 30,000 pcs vs the 800 we ordered.
So, unfortunately, I've got a back procedure again early AM on the 3rd, so I can't be towing crates back or assisting in unloading literal tons of stone. Add to that by the time I CAN do those things, we lose time to get the tile laid dealing with that transport, and, have movers booked for the 21st. Tons of packing at the current place so......
We may be slumming it, living on bare concrete floors for a while and circling back to doing the tile a month or two down the road... going to talk to the tile place tomorrow. Likely just canceling the order.
