Replaced the leaky oil filler cap on Olds Cool. Great, now I’ve got a clean spot on the valve cover...

Since I spent way too much time hanging Christmas lights, only one more body mount hole got fixed. Am I the only one who starts the weekend with grandiose plans only to feel like squat got accomplished?

Video soon, maybe tomorrow. Only hang up is a freeze plug leaks on the backside of the driver's head. Gonna try and MacGyver something to get it out and a new one in. Some kind of lever I think...

Dialed in the Q-Jet carb I rebuilt last week and installed yesterday in place of the Carter square bore that was on an adapter mated to the spreadbore intake. Also dialed in the timing with an adjustable vacuum advance that I also installed yesterday. It was then that I discovered the junkyard distributor that the PO installed is pretty plum "wore out." So I just ordered up a new stock replacement along with a timing cover gasket kit to fix a nagging oil leak.
