It was a beautiful day for a drive. I was cruising along minding my own business with the stereo cranking and windows down (unusual for late February on the northcoast) when I hit a huge pothole and I heard a big BANG and saw something fly out from under the Wagon via the rear view mirror.

I immediate pulled over and ran back to take a look. It was a 10 inch long 3/8" extension. Now the last time I used one on this car was October. But I've not been missing mine. So it must have been the previous owner's from a year and a half ago.

I'm just glad it wasn't something the car needed as is usually my luck.:blam:

My new Pypes exhaust showed up today so I opened it up to check it out.

Awesome! Love the slip fit, no welding required, unless wanted. Makes me wish they had an H pipe kit, or at least sold the tail pipes separately. Looks like quality stuff.

Went to basically the only junkyard worth a damn that I know of today and grabbed some wires I needed for my Regal as well as the little clips that hold the purge cannister down. Must've lost mine in during the engine transplant(s). First one to guess what all of the wires are/are for gets a virtual cookie of their choice. Also took some pics of some of the cooler cars there. There was also an 80s 4 door Bonneville that has the jounce+GP bars that I will be coming back for, providing it's there next time.

Lastly, I spotted this regal (not for parts, sadly) that bears an uncanny resemblance to mine. Exactly the same in everyway, minus the gold pinstripe. Mine is silver. Also spotted a regal hood and decklid sitting on a truck. Decklid was kinda bent.

Thanks Turna I am. I have them on the bench in the shop along with sway bar links and sway bar bushings. I Just left the old ones on while I painted it to help protect the fitting by the line clamp.

I thought about my Malibu sitting in a cold, dark shop at home while I was out beating down this rental car

I have to say that the group over at New Vintage are great. They were supper helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. I've been really looking forward to receiving these gauges and I am definitely not disappointed. If you're looking for new gauges, I highly recommend NVU.
