I never had it that good in the field. Most of the time "home" was a poncho with a sleeping pad (& a sleeping bag on cold field exercises.)

I think it's warmer there than Ft. Drum, seemed like we only went there to train when it was cold. I don't miss Ft. Drum.

A Thanksgiving turkey is always a great project and super results. As there are parts left over, I decided to add them and other parts from other projects and make an amalgam of all these projects with which I have left over parts. Make sense?

So we have stuff out of the freezer and am in process of making a kick a** turkey soup on this drizzly South Georgia day.

That said... it is 0°C with freezing rain rolling in. We'll be ten folks in that tent tonight - nuts to butts waiting for morning.

I did the leaves with the little John Deere so Janet and Lauren could put up Christmas decorations. To do the leaves I made some small adjustments to the shoot latch and it made it so much easier to use I finished the front and just kept going. Maybe I'll finish the back tomorrow. Right now I'm thinking leftovers I'm hungry
