I changed the oil and filter on my Ford truck. AutoZone is running an oil change special, 5 quarts of Motorcraft oil and a Motorcraft filter for $27.99.

I also had an appointment with an undercoating place and got it Fluid Filmed. I told them to lay it on thick. They did not disappoint, they used about 2 whole gallons on it and coated everywhere. For comparison, a gallon is supposed to do 2 to 3 trucks. They used undercoating sprayers and 360° wants to spray inside everything. Not that I plan on putting a ton of miles on it in the winter, but I'm not taking any chances.

No, it's not cosmoline or WD-40, its lanolin, or wool wax. It's similar to an oil undercoating. It has a consistency almost like snot. Its been around for a pretty long time but just recently seems to be getting popular for undercoating. Plow truck guys have been using it for a long time.

It doesn't dry, it stays wet. No prep work is required. It can be applied over existing rust, it doesn't have any solvents in it so it won't evaporate, it's non toxic, non conductive so it can be used as a dielectric grease, and it doesn't wash off. It'll come off with a pressure washer, or with soapy water, but it won't come off if you just spray it with a hose. It's supposed to last about a year under a vehicle. It's also a penetrant and a lubricant, like WD-40. It won't become acidic like oil undercoating will.

It does smell like a sheep's *ss for about a week or so after you apply it. It makes the truck a little messy underneath if you have to do any work, but I don't mind of it keeps the rust away.

I finished this model kit that I started a while ago. I forgot about it until a couple weeks ago. I'm a total amateur with these, I can be kinda sloppy. It fit together really well out of the box, but as you can see the bed and cab alignment sucks and I'm too impatient to fix it. I did some weathering to make it look like it's been used.

Thanks, I haven't built one in a while, it was fun to put one together again. I wish I had time to build more of them.

I am teaching my Grandson how to drive and I am using my '05 Sunfire. When I got it I had swapped in a power seat base for ultimate comfort and adjust-ability. But he is tall and skinny like Joey Ramone. Even all the way back his long legs were scrunched up under the wheel. So today I removed the entire driver seat assembly and relocated it about eight inches farther back. Now in the full forward position my feet are on the pedals perfectly. In the full rear position you are practically in the back seat. That should work for him.
