I got my turn signal cancelling working on my Bonneville. Changed the turn signal cancelling cam out, only to find that one of the springs on the turn signal assembly had broke in half. Luckily, the El Camino donated a spring and saved me a trip to the parts store.

I waded out to the barn and installed the replacement alternator and went to crank it and the battery was stone a***d dead. On trickle charger and we have more rain coming. Waiting for amp/blue tooth cables. Took week off to install and do other stuff.

Did a quick change to the wheels. I had the chrome lugnuts on hand, but our buddy RKTPWRD tossed me the idea of black lugnuts. He got my gears turning. I picked some up earlier, and it makes a big difference me thinks. Thanks again Donovan!!

Also, I was bored this morning so I "mocked" up the blazer brakes lol. I have to repaint the calipers, then I'll do the swap.

Took advantage of the mild weather, and gave it a much needed bath and blowdry, courtesy of the Stihl backpack blower.

Yeah, I was at a GoodGuys show and after a brief downpour, all the big buck car owners broke out these battery powered leaf blowers to blow the rain off their cars. I had been going to major car shows for close to 40 years at that point, yet had never seen anything like it. Nuts!

Stole some shop time this past weekend.

Made a modification to the Vintage Air heater to divert more heat over to the driver's side. Changed the oil and filter and greased the front end, and vacuumed out a month's worth of Golden Retriever fur.

I also swapped out the cheapie plastic tube on the aftermarket oil pressure gauge in favor of copper. But somehow lost the illumination now on the gas gauge. So I'll have to revisit that.

It's ALWAYS something.

Finished up stripping. modifying, priming and painting the core support from the donor El Camino. Next is the lower airbox. The upper is complete rusted crap. The most reasonably priced replacement I have come across is from Mike's Montes at $129. Seems this part is not well survived used.

I've been using the leaf blower to dry cars off for years. I have a cheap electric one that I use specifically for drying cars, works great.
