Looking at picking up a rear locally out of a Monte SS, Posi 3.73, complete hub to hub. How much is a decent price?
I can get it for $500, sounds high to me, but maybe not?
Everything hooked up smoothly.. didn't notice any differences.
I did not drain the converter... I know I lost a lot of fluid when I pulled everything. I did not take it off the engine I installed. I pulled the TH400 off, then hooked it up to the current transmission. I have added either 5-6 qts. of...
Swapped in the 350 for the 305 in my Grand Prix, used the torque converter from the 350 (that was originally hooked to a TH400), and hooked them to the still working TH250c.. I got the 350 going and it sounds amazing.. use the new ratchet shifter to ratchet it out of park and.... nothing. Show a...
So who knew that a SBC starter from an '84 chevy 305 wouldn't bolt up to a '74 LT-1... buncha poop.
Time to head back to Autozone again...
I am missing the hole in the block for the power steering pump next to the timing cover too... :puke:

None of my friends would believe it was a...

I am copping a BOP TH350 from an '81 T/A, and I plan on using it with a 400+ hp '70 Pontiac 400. Should I plan on rebuilding it, and is it something I can do myself using a kit such as this?

I just picked up Summit's smallest transmission cooler, rated at 17000 GVW, has some definite bling to it. Hopefully it will still be enough with no internal cooler.
I noticed that my brake pedal started feeling a little different yesterday. Usually it has a really nice positive feel to it, but yesterday I had alot of excess travel before my brakes engaged. And now last night my brake warning light came on. I checked my fluid and it is full, but dark, so it...
Doesn't seem like something I would bother doing when I noticed that this month's Summit catalog has these for the Gbody now..

wow... STUPID MUSIC.. I would bet that sounds great. Especially with no enclosures, or even mounted ... :blam:
And even to admit that you spent $3k on that..
