Our cars use a single din, or referred to as din for radios. That's basically the rectangular space the unit occupies.

A double din head unit is possible with modifications to the radio/hvac bezel.

Deutsch industry norm was coined by the Germans in the early 80s as the standard 2x8 openings replaced the dual manual knob setups most am/fm radios had until the late 70s early 80s

I took my radio outside, all apart and cleaned it with contact cleaner now everything works except the switch from am to fm, oh well I don't listen to am very often but it would be nice to have that part working

Lightly mist the thing with wd40, then get air duster, like for keyboards, give it a good blow job. Lol. If not you might have a messed up resistor or something.
