What did you do to your g-body today 2025 Edition!

Put some old never used 6x9 sparkomatics in some 6x9 boxes in the k1500, then swapped em into the regal to see if the new kickers were indeed damaged, they are. As well as my right front 3.5. New speakers here soon.
Sparkomatic speakers in a 6x9 box screams 1982. Oh the memories that flashed in my head.

They were from 1985. Got em in the box from a local thrift store. Still had the Kmart sticker.

After tearing up the rug in my daughter’s bedroom for the new oak floor we decided an ice cream run was in order. Nice sunny afternoon in the 40’s so we took the ‘80 for a drive on the mainly dry roads but did manage to splash up some dirty water in a few spots along the way. Will have to give it a bath at some point but for now it isn’t a big deal. The car ran well with plenty of warm heat out the ducts. Really funny thing happened thought at in intersection I was stopped at. My wife hollered “Look at that, Mike!” I look to my left where I was planning to turn and, honest to God, there is a grey ‘80 Cutlass Calais coming to a stop! I let him turn and we both exchanged thumbs up and a smile. And here I was thinking I had the only one left in the area. His was in good shape, had the landau roof torn off but didn’t look rotten to my quick view of it in passing. Otherwise it was stock looking and looked good with the whitewalls.

Stabbed the fuel tank back in since it was warm (if you can call 38 degrees warm, and attempted to start it. Might of booger’d my O2 sensor though, it reads dead lean even though I can tell the car runs pig rich after the Idle Feed Restrictor changes.

Also picked up some fabric for the lower door panels, might be too flashy 😅

The snow is gone, the air is warm, so I decided to take the Bonnewagon down off the blocks today. I am challenged for room so to get it out of the way I put it up on cement blocks on my grassy yard. That way condensation doesn't attack the undersides and the grass doesn't suffer. That space is unused all winter anyway. The first thing I am going to do is compare the GM sun visors to the Jeep ones I just got. The triangular attaching point looks identical. One way to find out for sure.
