Be careful! They need a little play when closing with the glass up so they don't shatter. Don't make them too tight!
You shouldn't have any rattles from the glass because the weatherstrip should cushion any movement. There is a clip on the "A" pillar that sometimes rattles the glass. Try some...
You could probably set it in there with silicone. Just be sure to allow enough time for it to cure. You might have to shim the molding to get it flush with the body.
I thought we talked about this before? We were waiting on some pics so we could describe the fix. Could be the hinges are worn, could be the door was never aligned properly when installed or could be the cowl is twisted since the fender and door were both replaced. Take some good pics and we can...

Funny how she gets home from work 15 minutes earlier with the elky than with her 99 tahoe! :)

This has to be the dumbest thing I ever heard. Yesterday I went to a local small engine repair shop to get a piece of roller chain for a sweeper atttachment for my tractor. I had my el camino parked out front and was inside waiting for the guy to cut a piece of chain to size when one of the...
Check the wiring. Is there power going into the dist? Did you pinch or break a wire along the way? Sounds like something is grounded that shouldn't be.
Is there a kill switch somewhere that went bad? Any other alarm?
Somebody probably had it already. I just tried HWY@2EL at nys.dmv and its available here in NY. The "@" is for the state image that replaces the hyphen here in NY on the Empire Plates.
Yeah how true! Yesterday I was driving my 78 elky which has "vintage" plates. I came over a hill on a parkway and a county police car was in front of me in the right lane. I slowed a bit so not to climb up on him but I could see him looking at my elky in his rearview mirror. He then moved over...
