I thought you weren't supposed to change synthetic oil until at least 9k due to the additives? I do annual oil changes on my vehicles, it never looks terribly dirty. I run Valvoline/NAPA oil and Napa gold filters, same as Wix.

WIX is what I use too, NAPA oil filters are made by WIX for an added bonus!

Surprise AZ.
I just put it in my wife's 2013 Impala, But she only drives about 4000-5000 miles a year. It will save me the cost of the second oil change during the year. We will see how it goes.

From what I understand, WIX also makes, or made, filters for Car Quest. I bought a filter for my Porsche labeled Car Quest. When I read the fine print, it mentioned being made by WIX...plus I read somewhere online confirming that.

I change the oil in my (Olds Ciera) daily driver once a year with Valvoline synthetic 10-30wt. My wagon doesn't get driven that much.

Wix, Napa gold and AC Delco are awesome filters and they are what I use. Castrol does not own or run a refinery but they had an awesome advertising campaign back in the day.

On the filters even though a premium company makes them it is to the lessor companies specs. Just sayin'
Remember they say "EXCEEDS FACTORY SPECS"
Factory specs are usually pretty rigid so what are they exceeding???

I was watching a episode of engine masters on motortrend and they were using a oil that is good for 100k miles between changes. Going to have to remember watch it but think it was made by amsoil. If that's possible I wouldn't trust anything over 10k between oil changes.
