15 Years of GBF in 2020. What/Where/When Should We Have an Event?

At a track rental would be awesome, so we can flog our rides instead of sitting around in yawn chairs.
Boy, that's the truth. I never was a big car show guy. Yes, I like looking and BSing with "car people" but to just sit there, no. I like swap meets but probably the drag racing the most. I was at the G-body meet in Cleveland and I enjoyed it but after a couple hours I beat it over to Thompson Dragway seeing how it was nearby. I think a car show, swap meet, and drag racing will bring out the most people. Jmo.

Drag racing events coupled with the car show is always a good draw. People can opt to drag their car or not. It really depends on the culture of the participants. If most that showed up was into making their cars handle, then handling events would go over well. But drag racing is better all around because even the handling cars can go fast in a straight line too.

The H/OCA meets do that often. Not always, but there's usually some sort of car-related event as an option. Of course, you could end up with some people that don't understand the word "personal car space boundaries" and jump onto a huge faux Hurst Shifter platform on the back of a 72 H/O convertible and fugg the car up doing it. Likely not maliciously, but still......

I like the track rental ideal, most of us show off and brag over the internet, would be great to have to back it up on a track

left Cleveland and drove about 3 hours south to McConnellsville for a burger, i have no problem spending 80 in gas versus sitting around being bored, ive become more of a cruise than sit around kind guy. thinking about going up to detroit in a few weeks to visit some of the filming locations from the grand tour and the ken block gymkhana 10 video.
